our story

Warrior Mode Wellness offers you experiences and tools to help you access your true essence.

Our ethos is to help anybody and everybody access that place inside that always shines brightly - this is your life force. We want to help you tap into that so you can thrive even when life throws it’s biggest challenges your way. To help you feel resilient and adaptable, no matter what.

Warrior Mode Wellness started after our founder, Carolyn Holmes, found herself facing the journey of grief following her mum’s sudden passing. Having already spent a lot of time in India, Carolyn went back to the spiritual heart of the world, to live in Ashrams in the Himalayas. She spent her time meditating, practicing yoga, studying yoga philosophy, eating a sattvic (ayurvedic) diet and spent weeks in silent retreat. This time spent dedicated to inner healing brought moments of experiencing deep bliss. Carolyn later trained in the modalities that helped her tap into source energy - which gave her strength to face her own battles. Warrior Mode Wellness was birthed with the intention to offer you a toolkit of yoga, pranayama, meditation and bodywork, that can help you to access your source energy. To help you navigate the battles that life throws your way with grace and growth.

Forever a student

Carolyn has completed many yoga trainings since studying her first 200 hours in the Himalayas in 2016, including yin yoga with Sarah Lo, and yoga like water with Dan Peppiatt. She also trained in yoga and mindfulness for post-traumatic stress disorder, and yoga for mental health, with The Minded Institute. As well as continued education with Cyndi Lee (a Buddhist approach to mindfulness meditation), and with Jo Phee, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers (all pioneering teachers of yin yoga).

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is an important part of the offering at Warrior Mode Wellness. As well as releasing physical tension, bodywork is an essential modality to help bring you out of the mind and into your body. Having first experienced the power of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) in 2015, Carolyn went on to qualify in this art form with Mogu School, and later completed further trainings in AYM with her incredible teacher and mentor, Purnima Bodywork.

Carolyn is currently working towards a degree in Advanced Clinical Bodywork with JING School of Massage - in a biopsychosocial approach to healing that fuses Eastern and Western teachings, with a focus on freeing you from pain.
